The Firemen’s 5k & Fun Run will mark the event’s 8th anniversary, and we’re going to make it an event to remember. Those who wish to participate in either event may register on the Friday afternoon of the fair and at the event registration tables on Saturday morning. The Fun Run begins at the fairgrounds entrance at 7:30 a.m., and the 5k begins at 8 a.m. The route will bring participants through Thibodaux’s historic Downtown District before leading them to the finish line at the fairgrounds entrance, where commemorative Firemen’s Race Medals and refreshments will be waiting for everyone who crosses the finish line.
Firemen's Parade
Sunday @ 11am
Begins at the intersection of Blake Court & Menard St.; ends at fairgrounds

A crowd favorite of the Firemen’s fair is the annual Firemen’s Parade, one of the longest-running parades in all of Louisiana. It rolls through Thibodaux on Sunday, the last day of the fair, at 11 a.m. Each year the parade has a different theme, and spectators enjoy watching Thibodaux’s firefighters roll through the streets on decorative floats and fire trucks. The parade route begins by St. Joseph’s Elementary School at 501 Cardinal Drive and proceeds down Menard Street, Fifth Street, and St. Mary’s Street. The parade then turns down Tiger Drive and ends at the fairgrounds.
Auction
Saturday @ 6pm / Sunday directly after the parade
Saturday: Behind Float Barn / Sunday: Inside Grand Marshal's Den (Parade Float Barn)

A big part of our fundraising efforts stem from the live and silent auctions that take place during the fair. The first will be held on Saturday night at 6 p.m., under the big tent on the fairgrounds. The second will be held inside the parade float barn immediately following the parade on Sunday. Join the excitement and win prizes that could range anywhere from $20 car washes and week-long hunting trips to $10,000 custom-made boats and unique celebrity experiences. Prizes vary every year, and winning bids are tax-deductible to the extent allowable by law, so come out and have some fun!
